“This boat ramp is an excellent, protected launching spot for canoe and kayak explorations of Carr Inlet. I recommend avoiding weekends, because the one-lane wide approach street and boat ramp is treated as a two-lane boat ramp when it gets busy. Boaters who use this launch with a trailer will need top-notch maneuvering and backing skills, regardless. There are no amenities at this boat launch, including no bathrooms. The parking area is along the shoulder of the cross street two blocks uphill.”
“Gorgeous area but there are some drawbacks with this ramp: there is no pier to tie the boat to while you walk about two city blocks uphill to park your vehicle. You had also be very good backing a trailer. The ramp street is very narrow. There is also only room for one boat at a time on this narrow street. If there is someone waiting in the turn around to launch there will be no room for you. Good luck. Other than that the ramp is in decent shape.”
“No parking lot, but a great place to put your boat in the water. People park on the street up above. From here you can head over towards Kopachuck state park or to the left towards Fox Island. Great views of the Olympic Mountains and Cascade Mountains towards Fox Island.”
