Lacamas Lake Boat Access Ramp

“This lake and surrounding parks can get busy. It was to get to 90 degrees today and by 9am the parking lot was nearly full. This was a surprise as the day before with high 80's expected, the parking lot was half full. Love this lake for kayaking along with access to Round Lake. Round lake is under a bridge with 3 foot clearance so I had to lower myself in the kayak to get under the pipes and bridge above. Saw a turtle swimming in round lake. Heritage Park is a nice place with trails that go along the south side of the lake. Nice launch for boats and kayaks.”

“Lovely afternoon. The Google pin takes you to a tiny wide spot in the road, don't bother going that far. There is a good sized lot about.25 mile before the pin. Another option is to park at the parking lot on the immediate right when you first arrive at the community, or go left at the roundabout for multiple places to park and put in your floatie boats. There is a bathroom and playground here too. It's busy but very nice, if you duck under the bridge at the south end, motorized boats aren't allowed.”

“Used to be a great place years ago. During summer, the lake has a pungent smell from all the algae and pollutants from the fertilizers that wash into it upstream. I would NOT recommend swimming in the water at all. Don’t expect crystal clear water. More of a yellowish pee color. Lake is 60 feet at its deepest point.”
