reviewsWhat Paddlers Say

Great little place for canoes and kayaks! Steep put-in. Bird watching is excellent. I hear fishing is great, but haven't tried. Paddling is easy but very sinuous until you get to the lake. Only negative is lots of cattle near the stream for about 1/2 mile. Bonnie Lake is very peaceful. Wind can be a problem.

It's a beautiful kayak the mile up the creek into Bonnie Lake! The lake itself is about another 4 miles deep. The locals and several friends informed me that there are often rattlesnakes on the island in the middle of the lake. No shore access so plan to stay in your boat for the duration. Awesome views🤗

Beautiful secluded lake nice narrow paddle up the access Creek. The lake is a little green in late summer. Worth it to go the full length of the lake there are alot of caves up in the cliff walls. Lots of birds use this lake. Be cautious of high wind days it can get pretty choppy out there!
