“Our family of 5 had a blast on the river. We did the Upper Yakima equipment rental (unguided). We saw beavers, wild turkeys, eagles, deer and cows along the way. Rill Adventures' Brie recommended that we stopped at a place known as "The Farm" along the way where the flow was not as swift, to swim around and have lunch. Kids had tons of fun slashing around in the river. We almost missed the take-out location because we couldn't row as a team, but Brie was there to rescue us! The only thing I would caution is that, after you sign up, they will send you an instruction for the logistics. The instructions have coordinates for the take-out location (where you will park your car in the morning), and they also mark the location on a map with a big red arrow. The coordinates and the big arrow do not match. The latter is wrong. Use the coordinates on Google Maps for the correct takeout location, or type in "Green Bridge - Throp Public Access." This take out location requires a Discovery Pass. We had one, and didn't see the typical paying station at the spot.”

“We did the upper Yakima river, three 8 person boats, and did the solo float (no guide). The equipment was great, but gotta say that the crew could have been a bit more friendly. As we got boats out of the water, the person picking up the boats was barking at us "Get out of the way!!!" and "Move!" but not actually telling us where to go or if they needed help. We had a bunch of kids and teens who were ready to do whatever was asked of them, but what we got was loud yelling and zero requests. We were all a little shocked at the strange and un-called for behavior.”

“This company is absolutely the best to hire! We had a family trip of 15 on the Upper Yakima. It was relaxing and beautiful. 11 miles of beautiful scenery where we saw a doe and fawn drinking along the waters edge, a bald eagle, and several other birds. It is mostly calm with a few ripples here and there. Our guides were the nicest people. We ordered lunches and they were very fresh. I highly recommend Rill Adventures!”
